What happens after I report?

Information is stored in a cloud-based HIPAA-compliant records system. Reporting helps to track trends, identify gaps, and understand the scope of hate crimes and bias incidents in King County. This data guides prevention strategies and informs a more accurate picture of the problem. Sharing information also fosters community solidarity and encourages others who have experienced similar incidents to come forward.

What resources and services are offered through the Stop Hate Hotline?

• Law enforcement (only with caller’s consent, if needed)
• Emergency shelter and food resources in caller’s area
• Domestic violence hotlines for advocates and confidential shelter options

Can the Stop Hate Hotline provide legal advice?
