Seattle Transitional Grant Area Planning Council
The Seattle Transitional Grant Area Planning Council prioritizes and allocates Ryan White Part A funding for services in King, Island and Snohomish counties.
Planning Council duties
- Assess King, Snohomish and Island County's HIV/AIDS service needs
- Establish priorities for the allocation of funds
- Allocate funds to service categories
- Develop a comprehensive care plan
- Establish operations to make planning tasks function smoothly
- Assess the efficiency of Public Health in rapidly allocating funds to areas of greatest need
- Confirm that the services procured by Public Health fulfill the allocation plan created by the Council
The Council also allocates percentages of a community funding pool to services for each of the priority populations.
Planning Council meetings
The regular meeting time of the HIV/AIDS Planning Council is on the second Monday of each month from 4 pm to 6:30 pm. Meetings are typically held virtually through Zoom during social distancing measures. All meetings are open to the public and are subject to change. Planning Council Committees
All committees are open to the public and you can attend virtually through Zoom while social distance measures are in place. Needs Assessment, Priority Setting, & Resource Allocation Committee (NAPSRA)
Meets every fourth Thursday of the month virtually through Zoom. This committee conducts needs assessments, prioritizes services, and allocates Ryan White Part A funds to service categories.
System of Care Committee (SOC)
Meets every fourth Monday of the month virtually through Zoom. This committee creates standards of care and measures for these standards for all service categories and creates the comprehensive plan.
Membership/Operations Committee
Meets every third Thursday of the month at 5 pm to 7 pm virtually through Zoom. This committee writes bylaws and policies and brings on new Council members. They are actively seeking membership currently.
+Caucus
Meets every first Thursday of the month at 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm virtually through Zoom. The +Caucus builds a supportive community around people living with HIV and provides a place for people living with HIV to learn more about the Council and provide input from lived experience on the work of the Council.
