Cody Eccles

Cody Eccles manages Councilmember Dunn’s office, staff, and policy development. He has many years of experience in public policy, including in his most recent role as the Director of Government Relations and Business Affairs with the Council of Presidents. Previously, Cody worked at the Washington State Senate, where he advised legislators on issues relating to higher education, government operations, human services, and capital budgeting. Cody is an attorney who received his J.D. from Seattle University and an LL.M. in Tax Law from the University of Washington. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the University of Washington Milgard School of Business where he graduated with honors.

Carson Coates serves as Reagan Dunn’s District and Communications Director. Carson brings a decade of legislative, communications, and Congressional experience to his current role at the King County Council. He has been proud to call the Pacific Northwest his home since first moving to the region to attend college.

Darren Nguyen serves as a Legislative Aide to Councilmember Reagan Dunn. Darren served in the Army, where he was deployed overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. While stateside he was a part of the Honor Guard, providing military funeral honors to service members that passed. Prior to joining King County as a Veteran Fellow, Darren worked for the U.S. Forest Service supporting internal and external communication strategy, event coordination/facilitation, and emergency management assignment.

Rebecca serves as the first point of contact for Councilmember Dunn’s office, supporting community relations and managing Councilmember Dunn’s scheduling needs. A native of Seattle, Rebecca has over 20 years of experience in customer service and business operations. Her commitment to responsive service and operational excellence reflects a career-long dedication to making systems work better—for both the people they serve and the teams who support them.
