King County International Airport-Boeing Field is one of the nation's busiest general aviation airports, and operations are expected to increase by 50 percent over the next two decades to meet growing demand. The master plan's focus is on ways to best satisfy growing aviation demands within the airport's existing boundaries while meeting the strictest aviation safety standards. The following documents are from the airport's most-recently adopted master plan in 2004.

This document lists the minimum standards as well as basic rules and regulations for all providers of aeronautical services at King County International Airport-Boeing Field.

As part of the environmental review for the Airport Master Plan, King County International Airport-Boeing Field prepared an approved environmental impact statement (EIS) under the Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), and an environmental assessment under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The EIS identifies any impacts the airport might have on its immediate environment, in light of the development guidelines laid out in the Airport Master Plan.

Title 15 of the King County Code pertains to the governing of King County International Airport-Boeing Field.

KCIA Strategic Plan on PublicInput

King County International Airport (KCIA) is currently developing an Airport Strategic Plan. This plan follows and replaces the 2015 strategic plan which has reached the end of its planned duration. The Airport Strategic Plan will be rooted in King County's True North Values, strategic initiatives including but not limited to the Equity and Social Justice Strategic Plan and the Strategic Climate Action Plan, the King County Strategic Plan, and other county planning policies. The Airport Strategic Plan will use these countywide plans to update KCIA's Mission and Vision, and to develop KCIA specific strategies, goals, and objectives to complete the updated Mission.

This project will work with the Airport Roundtable, community members and tenants through Mission/Vision workshops, Strength/Weakness/Opportunities/Threats analysis as well as community/tenant feedback meetings, and a final presentation of the results.

For more information and to stay up to date on the status of this project, email KCIACommunityOutreach@kingcounty.gov.
