Help Me Grow King County

Children and families thrive when they can access the resources they need—when, where, and how they need them. Help Me Grow King County (HMGKC) connects families with children from prenatal development to age five, especially those facing systemic barriers, to community-rooted and linguistically responsive support. HMGKC operates as a Coordinated Access Network made up of local community-based organizations (Family Connection Partners) who provide warm connections and direct support, not just referrals, and walk alongside families as they navigate systems and services.

Grounded in the national model and implemented in partnership with Best Starts for Kids and Help Me Grow Washington, HMGKC ensures families receive support that strengthens self-determination, resilience, and early childhood thriving.

Our Coordinated Access Network offers the following services

Warm Connections

Link parents and caregivers directly to services and resources. Instead of giving families a referral to navigate on their own, our Help Me Grow Connectors take the next step with them, contacting providers, coordinating details, and ensuring families receive the support they need.

Care Coordination

Provide one-on-one support to help families assess their needs and create a plan to meet them. We check in regularly, track progress, and adjust the plan as needed so families feel supported every step of the way.

Developmental Promotion

Offer activities that empower parents to understand and support their child’s early development. This may include sharing information about developmental milestones, offering or arranging developmental screenings, and connecting families to follow-up services when needed.
