Black Community Equity Team partnerships

Community organizations are expanding their capacity to bring services to Black communities in King County, through grants administered by the Community Equity Team. They are also building their capacity to assist people in accessing federal, state and local services.

Contracted organizations

Funded provided through Public Health's COVID-19 Health Equity grant from the CDC and the City of Seattle Equitable Communities Initiative.

Additional community organizations are collaborating to bring services in areas that have been historically under-served, with a special focus on Skyway and Federal Way.

Skyway Resource Center—a monthly services event

The Skyway Resource Center is a partnership that is creating a new facility in the former US Bank building in Skyway. Under the leadership of Renton Innovation Zone Partnership (RIZP), the partners also have been hosting a monthly resource fair for community members who need food, diapers, transportation resources, health insurance, PPE and other services. Public Health and the King County Dept. of Local Services are the temporary coordinators for the resource fair along with King County Fire Dist. #20.
