Cultural Education and Outreach Program on Fecal Pollution for Students and Families

Public Health – Seattle & King County's Environmental Health Services Division is requesting proposals to develop education and outreach materials and conduct campaigns to raise youth and family awareness and promote actions for reduced pet waste, wildlife feeding, septic system maintenance, and/or side sewer maintenance in the Poverty Bay Shellfish Protection District.

Ryan White Part A Care Services

This Request for Application (RFA) is released by Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) for Ryan White Part A (RWPA) program funds. PHSKC is seeking applications from agencies interested in using these funds to provide HIV- related care services to low-income people living with HIV in the Seattle Transitional Grant Area (TGA) of King, Snohomish, and Island counties.

Centering Diverse Healers for Youth Well-Being

This project seeks to fund organizations, groups, and entities with close ties to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) communities and will include outcomes such as increasing access to mental health resources and trainings, improving retention for youth serving organizations that support youth mental health, and increasing support for diverse providers who serve youth mental health.

Equity Response Team (Pre-announcement posted August 14, 2024)

Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) is pleased to announce that we will soon be releasing a Request for Applications (RFA) for community members interested in joining its Equity Response Team (ERT). We will be recruiting up to four community members to join the team. The ERT is a working group dedicated to assisting (PHSKC) programs, teams, and leadership in addressing the intersections between racial equity and social justice and public health practice, strategies, and/or services.

Community Health Worker services for Ukrainian refugees

The goal of this RFP is to seek an eligible organization willing to collaborate with Public Health – Seattle & King County (PHSKC) to assist Ukrainian refugees and humanitarian immigrants through health education and navigation provided by Community Health Workers (CHW). CHWs are an integral part of the community and serve as primary points of connection to culturally and linguistically appropriate health services.

Public Health – Seattle & King County seeks a qualified business to identify and engage interested and impacted parties, design and facilitate webinar and summit gathering, and synthesize feedback into recommend and action steps for building an urban septic to sewer conversion program. Maximum budget is $45,000.

Improving childhood lead poisoning prevention and increasing blood-lead testing in focus communities

The Lead and Toxics Program at Public Health – Seattle & King County seeks partnerships with community-based organizations to prevent childhood lead poisoning and increase blood-lead testing. While we have made significant progress raising awareness about the importance of lead poisoning prevention, King County still faces significant challenges to eliminating lead poisoning in our communities, improving blood-lead testing rates, and connecting children with higher blood-lead levels to developmental services.
