Public engagement

Discover how King County is engaging the community around the ESI 8 Rehabilitation Project.

King County will work with community groups and interested parties to provide project information, identify issues and solutions, list potential impacts, and gather feedback. As design progresses, we will provide more information about where the temporary diversion pipe will be located relative to existing roads, trails, homes, parks, and sensitive environmental areas.

King County works hard to ensure community members are not surprised by the project or its impact. You can stay informed (translations will be available) throughout the project’s life in several formats including:

  • Briefings to local community groups, agencies, and jurisdictions
  • Email or text updates
  • Project newsletters and fliers
  • Project web page
  • News releases
