Measuring DCHS’ impact

DCHS programs work to ensure King County residents are happy, healthy, and connected to community.The highlights below reflect the scale and diversity of this work — from behavioral health services and food security supports to community inclusion efforts and housing programs. Last year, DCHS programs and activities reached more than 675,000 people, administered significant community investments, and delivered services that improve residents' wellbeing and strengthen families.

Our data team

DCHS’ Performance Measurement and Evaluation (PME) unit collaborates with internal and external partners to use data to understand the implementation and impact of the programs managed by the department. PME’s vision is that data is used in decision making at all levels across DCHS to support programming and policy decisions.
