Metal finishers are one of the largest industrial business sectors that we regulate, next to food processing. We work with metal finishers to ensure that discharges from these operations meet federal categorical pretreatment standards and the county's local limits for pollutants to protect human health, the environment, and the public's investment in wastewater facilities. Visit the Enivronmental Protection Agencies website to learn more about the EPA Metal Finishing Effluent Guidelines.
