Serving King County: Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs)

King County is served by 11 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), including 10 primary and 1 secondary center. These dispatch centers are staffed by trained Telecommunicators who answer and manage 911 calls. Primary PSAPs receive calls directly from telephone providers, and transfer callers to a secondary PSAP when fire or medical assistance is needed.
