Public Records Committee

The King County Public Records Committee (PRC) advises the King County Council and the King County Executive on policy recommendations regarding public records, both electronic and paper-based.

The PRC was created in 2006 to advise both the council and the King County Executive on policy recommendations regarding public records, including both paper and electronic records. The PRC meets as often as necessary, but at least on a bi-annual basis. The committee submits a report on its activities to both the King County Council and the King County Executive on or before March 1 of each year. The main goal of the PRC is to make programmatic and policy recommendations as to how King County can best manage, preserve, and provide access to its public records. Read the PRC Charter.
