Aquatic plants

While the usual means of spreading apply to them too, aquatic weeds can often find their way into the ecosystem by someone dumping their aquarium into a local body of water. These rapidly spreading plants can fundamentally change the area. Aquatic weeds can contribute to flooding, habitat destruction, and changing the chemical make-up of a river or wetland.
