Story
The Metropolitan King County Council on Tuesday confirmed the reappointment of Auburn resident Karen Dove to the Priority Hire Advisory Committee for a three-year term expiring on September 30, 2023.
“At a time when finding alternatives to the traditional four-year college track is critically important, Karen’s experience with pre-apprenticeship training programs has been a valuable resource to this committee,” said Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer, who represents District 7. “Her willingness to serve is appreciated and welcomed.”
Karen serves as Executive Director of ANEW, a Renton-based organization that provides pre-apprenticeship training program, employment navigation and financial support for individuals who desire a family wage career.
The King County Priority Hire Advisory Committee, which consists of eight to twelve members, was established to operate in an advisory role to the county for the implementation of the priority hire legislation.
