Story
King County Councilmember Joe McDermott issued the following statement after the City of Seattle announced Monday afternoon that cracks had been discovered in the West Seattle Bridge that would force its closure Monday night for what could be months:
"While everyone should be staying home to save lives if they can, this will certainly be a major change to how those of us in West Seattle move through our region. We must plan accordingly, and in the meantime stay at home to keep our roads clear for those who need them the most."
