King County Councilmember Rod Dembowski is releasing the following statement concerning King County Metro GM Rob Gannon stepping down to become chief financial officer for the city of Missoula, Montana.

"Rob Gannon has been a compassionate and effective leader of our world-class transit department. He has prioritized our customers and led with integrity to advance our long range plan and equity-focused mobility plan. He has been responsive to rider and community concerns and suggestions, and joined me in the community on many occasions to hear and see how transit is serving our communities -- and how we could do it even better. I will miss working with him and I wish him the best in his new endeavor."
