King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn issued the following statement in response to Congress on Monday night passing a $900B coronavirus relief package:

“I commend members of Congress, especially our Washington State delegation, for their bi-partisan work in passing a federal COVID relief bill last night. Our country is at the height of the pandemic, and this package will keep struggling families afloat during this crucial time as we begin vaccinations. That said, once we emerge from the pandemic, it will be extremely important for the federal government to tighten its belt and reign in our national debt. But the middle of the pandemic is not the time.”
