Robert Elwell Appointed to WaterWorks Grant Ranking Committee

Story

The Metropolitan King County Council unanimously confirmed the appointment of Robert Elwell to the King County WaterWorks Grant Ranking Committee as the metropolitan water pollution abatement advisory committee city of Auburn representative. The council acted on Elwell’s appointment at its May 15 meeting.

Since 2007, Elwell has worked for the city of Auburn as a sewer utility engineer. He is also a member of the Metropolitan Water Pollution Abatement Advisory Committee (MWPAAC), which advises the Council and Executive on matters related to pollution abatement. He resides in King County Council District 7, which is represented by Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer.

“Robert Elwell brings strong qualifications to King County’s WaterWorks Grant Ranking Committee,” said von Reichbauer. “His work for both the city of Auburn and the MWPAAC have provided him with the background and expertise to be a valuable asset to the Committee.”

The WaterWorks Grant Ranking Committee provides funding for projects that improve water quality in the service area for King County's regional wastewater system. This grant program complements the water quality mission of the Wastewater Treatment Division.

Elwell’s term on the committee expires September 30, 2020.
