The King County fair officially opens on Thursday, July 18th with the traditional crowning of “King Critter,” as Metropolitan King County Vice Chair Reagan Dunn announces the winning critter alongside Enumclaw Mayor Jan Molinaro.
“The King County Fair is one of my favorite local traditions and it’s fun to see so many folks from across the County joining in on the festivities,” said Dunn. “There truly is something for everyone and I anticipate a big crowd this year!”
The Fair opens Thursday, July 18 at the Enumclaw Expo Center at 45224 284th Avenue SE, Enumclaw. The Fair runs through Sunday July 21st, with a full lineup of fun events throughout the event. Attractions include 4-H livestock shows, exhibits, live music, rides, and of course, fair foods!
This year, the fair will be even bigger and better with more animals, more exhibits, more vendors, and the return of the Junior Livestock Show. Visitors will also get to enjoy a new Forestry and Timber Agricultural Exhibit that celebrates the legacy of the industry throughout the region.
“Your 2019 King County Fair will be bringing back some old traditions, such as the Critter Crowning, as well as the staples of past fairs,” said Enumclaw Mayor Jan Molinaro. “Walk the barns to view the animals and displays from the Future Farmers of America and 4-H groups, then stroll the midway for food and rides. Come out to the Enumclaw Expo Center to enjoy all the activities with your family and friends!”
