Mayor Woodards discussed her priorities as Mayor, including economic development, affordable housing, and accessible transportation. In particular, Mayor Woodards discussed her Affordable Housing Action Strategy, and the work Tacoma is doing with the Greater Seattle Partners to effectively market the tri-county region and promote economic development across the Puget Sound.
Lastly, Mayor Woodards discussed her work on the Port of Tacoma’s Tide Flat Subarea Plan, and the importance of good paying jobs at the Port of Tacoma, not just for Tacoma but for the region as a whole.
