Story

King County Council Vice Chair Reagan Dunn recently co-hosted four town hall meetings with the King County Department of Local Services, drawing together residents of unincorporated Fairwood, Ravensdale, Hobart, East Renton Highlands, the Enumclaw Plateau, and the greater Maple Valley area.

“Our annual town hall meetings are an essential service for residents of unincorporated King County,” said Dunn. “Elected officials and public employees need to be accessible and accountable, and town hall meetings are a way for hundreds of residents to get to speak face-to-face with the people who work for them. Thank you to the many people who showed up to ask thoughtful questions about how the county serves them.”

Dunn encouraged residents with questions or concerns to contact him, regardless of whether they were able to attend the town halls. His office can be reached at 206-477-1009 or at Reagan.Dunn@kingcounty.gov.

For unincorporated residents, the county acts as their local government. This includes matters related to parks, roads, noise ordinances, and other important government services. Town hall attendees were able to ask questions of Dunn and a variety of representatives from King County departments.

The four meetings were held between June 18th and 26th in southeast King County at the Enumclaw Expo Center Fieldhouse, at Northwood Middle School in Fairwood, at the Maywood Middle School in the Four Creeks/Tiger Mountain area, and at Hobart Community Church in the Maple Valley/Cedar River area.
