Bellevue Resident Heather Trescases reappointed to 4Culture Board

County Council unanimously confirms 3-year term

Story

The Metropolitan King County Council gave its unanimous approval to the reappointment of Bellevue resident Heather Trescases to the board of 4Culture, King County’s cultural development authority. Trescases currently serves as at the Board President of 4Culture.

“Heather Trescases is an incredible asset to 4Culture’s pursuit of cultural development and accessibility,” said Council Vice Chair Reagan Dunn. “Her substantial experience in historic preservation and her unique perspective have helped her guide 4Culture effectively and stay faithful to its mission.”

Trescases served for eleven years as the director of the Eastside Heritage Center, and currently is the Founder and Principal of Figure8 Consulting LLC. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public History from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Queen’s University, also in Ontario. Trescases currently serves on the Bellevue Parks and Community Services Board and the Visit Bellevue Washington tourism advisory committee, and is active in the Rotary Club of Bellevue.

“The work King County does to support arts, heritage and preservation efforts reflects a core piece of who we are,” said Trescases. “I’m grateful for the continued opportunity to serve the people of King County by encouraging access to cultural experiences and development, and I know that 4Culture’s work supporting organizations of all sizes is an integral part of the success of our artistic and cultural communities.”

4Culture supports multiple kinds of cultural enhancement programs, including historic preservation, public art, heritage programs, and the arts. Their team elevates a vibrant and diverse group of cultural development efforts that aim to provide cultural experiences to every resident of King County.

Trescases’ term on the board will run until December 31, 2020.
