Washington State Auditor Pat McCarthy joined King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer’s August “Good Eggs” breakfast at Phoenix Rising Café in Auburn.

The Auditor’s Office employees 450 people in 15 offices across our state who work to improve government processes, accountability, and transparency.  The Auditor and her team conduct fraud investigations and financial, performance, cybersecurity, and other audits on local governments and state agencies.  

Lastly, the Auditor engaged the guests in attendance in a conversation about her office’s role, the evolving challenges they face, and answered questions about election security, the process for selecting local governments and agencies for audit, and their office’s commitment to helping local governments be prepared for audits.
