Kohl-Welles to host Budget Town Hall

Story

The Metropolitan King County Council is reviewing the $11 Billion Executive-Proposed King County Budget. County Councilmember Jeanne Kohl-Welles, a member of the council’s budget leadership team, is inviting the public to participate in a discussion regarding budget priorities at a special Town Hall Meeting:

“This is a unique opportunity for my constituents to share their priorities on how the county intends to invest in our region over the next two years,” said Kohl-Welles. “Hearing from the public helps me better do my job so I can work to secure investments important to the residents of District Four and the entire county.”

Dwight Dively, the director of the Office of Performance, Strategy and Budget, will join Kohl-Welles at the Town Hall. This is an opportunity to learn more about the proposed 2-year spending plan as the council reviews all aspects of the Executive’s Proposed Budget.

“The budget is an enormous and complicated document,” added Kohl-Welles. “We are fortunate to have Dwight Dively join us at this Town Hall. He is exceptional at explaining complex information in a way that is understandable and informative.”
