Summary

Mosby’s appointment is for a partial term to expire on February 28, 2020.

Story

The Metropolitan King County Council today unanimously confirmed the appointment of Rosella Mosby to the King County Agriculture Commission. Rosella resides with her husband, Burr, and their children on the Mosby Brothers Farm in the Upper Green River Valley, located in King County District 7 and represented by County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer.

“Rosella Mosby brings strong qualifications to King County’s Agriculture Commission,” said von Reichbauer. “Expanding on the family passion for providing locally sourced produce to the Puget Sound Region and beyond, Rosella has run a successful Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, a farm stand and community outreach to local chefs. Her background and expertise will be a valuable asset to this Commission and all of King County.”

Mosby’s appointment is for a partial term to expire on February 28, 2020.

The King County Agriculture Commission works with citizens, agricultural producers and public officials to preserve and enhance agricultural land, support and promote a viable agricultural community and educate the public about the benefits of local agricultural products. The Commission consists of 15 volunteer members, eight of whom must be engaged in the business of producing an agricultural commodity for market in commercial quantities.
