Dunn reappointed to County leadership for 2017

Metropolitan King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn was reappointed to serve as Vice Chair of the County Council in 2016.Dunn joins Councilmember Joe McDermott, who will again serve as Council Chair, and will be joined by Rod Dembowski as one of the Council’s two Vice Chairs.
Dunn will also serve on the Law and Justice Committee, Regional Transit Committee, as an alternate for the Regional Water Quality Committee, Vice Chair of the Employment Administration Committee, and Co-Chair of the Special Alternative to Incarceration Committee.
Dunn’s appointment is part of the reorganization of the County Council for 2017 adopted unanimously by the Council at its March 6 meeting.
“I take my job seriously and appreciate the confidence my colleagues placed in me while working for good solutions last year,” said Dunn. “I’m honored that they have chosen to reappoint me as Vice Chair of the Council.”
Since joining the County Council, Dunn has served as the Chair of the Council’s Law, Justice and Human Services Committee, the Regional Transit Committee and the Chair of the King County Flood Control District Board of Supervisors.
As the Council’s Management Team, the Chair and Vice-Chairs work together to set the agendas for meetings of the Council and Committee of the Whole and coordinate the referral and scheduling of legislation.
