The Auburn YMCA will receive $500,000 in special funding for its capital project from the unanimously adopted 2017-2018 King County Budget.
“The Auburn YMCA’s vision to meet the growing needs of South King County youth for their recreational sports activities will be accomplished with the support of King County,” said Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer. “This new capital campaign will help the Auburn YMCA expand its impact by increasing the number of children, adults and families served by the Healthy Kids Campus.”
The $3 Million expansion campaign includes renovated indoor recreation space, as well as expanded outdoor spaces, along with a state-of-the-art day camp. Serving 22,000 people in South King County every year, the Auburn YMCA will create a larger and more complete place for families to come together.
