Von Reichbauer: “Sound Transit must be committed to bringing light rail to South King County”

As a member of the Sound Transit Board of Directors, I am committed to bringing Light Rail to South King County, as well as providing vital transportation alternatives throughout the Greater Auburn and Federal Way areas.

Story

Sound Transit 3 (ST3), the proposed next step in regional mass transportation, was introduced today to the Sound Transit Board. The Board will review the proposal before sending it to voters in the fall. Metropolitan King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer released this statement in response to the proposed ballot measure:

“ST3 should provide South King County residents with a much needed transportation package to help with their commutes to school, work and play.

“As a member of the Sound Transit Board of Directors, I am committed to bringing Light Rail to South King County, as well as providing vital transportation alternatives throughout the Greater Auburn and Federal Way areas. I look forward to getting feedback from South King County citizens before submitting the final package to the voters.”
