King County Assessor Lloyd Hara joined Metropolitan King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer at his monthly “Good Eggs Breakfast” meeting in Federal Way.
Hara discussed with community leaders from South King County how property values are assessed and the work they do to determine property values. Through physical inspections, current real estate market, and any levy that is connected with that location is used to determine a property’s tax valuation.
The Assessor’s Office gave a preview of the new website developed to assist property owners to access their property tax information quickly. The new website will significantly improve the way property owners can access information.
