Fairwood resident Erin Aboudara appointed to serve on King County Women's Advisory Board

The Metropolitan King County today gave its unanimous approval to the appointment of Erin Aboudara of Fairwood in unincorporated King County to serve as a representative on the King County Women’s Advisory Board for Council District 9.“Erin has spent her entire life in King County and is very involved in her community,” said Councilmember Reagan Dunn, who nominated Aboudara to serve on the Advisory Board and represents the Fairwood community on the County Council. “Her work on the Kent PTA and the leadership roles she has held representing over 1,500 homeowners of the Fairwood Greens home owners association, gives her a unique perspective to bring to the board
“I am excited to be appointed to the King County Women’s Advisory Board to represent women of Council District 9. I look forward to continue advocating for women’s issues such as gender pay equity, flexible scheduling for parents of young children or who may be caring for a senior parent, and equality in hiring and promotion practices in both the public and private sector for all women in King County,” said Aboudara. “It was an honor to have been nominated by Councilmember Reagan Dunn and I enjoy serving the public in this capacity.”
The King County Women’s Advisory Board (WAB) makes recommendations to the King County Executive and the King County Council to ensure the needs, rights and well-being of women are taken into account by county government. It was established in 1978 and nonpartisan advisory board, with members appointed by the King County Executive and the King County Council.
