Newcastle Councilmember Lisa Jensen Reappointed to Harborview Medical Center Board of Trustees

Metropolitan King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn is pleased to announce that Newcastle City Councilmember Lisa Jensen has been reappointed to the Harborview Medical Center Board of Trustees. The appointment was confirmed at the Council’s Jan. 27 meeting

“I am so pleased that Lisa agreed to serve another term on the board,” stated Dunn who represents the city of Newcastle on the County Council. “She brings a wealth of knowledge to the board as a former deputy mayor of Newcastle, current Councilmember, and small business person, Lisa has the depth of public service experience to help the board serve the community at a high level.”

“In my first term as a trustee on the Harborview board I’ve been impressed with the quality healthcare that is delivered at our county hospital, and the commitment of the Board of Trustees, King County and the management team to Harborview’s mission,” said Jensen. “It is an honor to be reappointed for a second term.”

Lisa has served as a Harborview Board Member since 2008. There are thirteen members on the board and they act as the representative authority of the county. oversees the provision of health-care services in order to assure that high quality health care is made available to county residents. Harborview board terms are for four years.

Jensen has lived in Newcastle since 2000. She was elected to the Newcastle City Council in 2007, 2011 and became Deputy Mayor for the 2012-2013 term. Jensen is currently a Newcastle Chamber of Commerce Member, and a past Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer. She also serves on the Lake Washington Cedar River Watershed Forum (WRIA 8); Sound Cities Association Public Issues Committee.

Prior to starting her own business, Jensen spent 13 years working in the software industry and 5 years as an Industrial Engineer in the aerospace industry. Her experience includes human resources management, financial systems consulting, technical training, sales & marketing management.
