Story

King County Councilman Pete von Reichbauer attended the annual Seattle Mariners Friends of Scouting Luncheon on Friday January 28, 2011 at the Bellevue Hyatt Regency.

The program at the Friends of Scouting luncheon featured a panel discussion with panelists including Mariners General Manager, Jack Zduriencik and new Field Manager, Eric Wedge, as well as current Mariners Infielder Dustin Ackley, Pitcher Brandon League, and Outfielder Michael Saunders. The voice of the Mariners, Rick Rizzs was the emcee for the event. Funds raised will go towards supporting more than 40,000 youth and adult Scouting members in the Puget Sound area.

The Seattle Mariners will start Spring Training on February 26, 2011. Opening day is Friday, April 1 as the Mariners kick off their season opener in Oakland again the A’s.
