Story
Jan Drago, the newest member of the Metropolitan King County Council, was today elected Chair of the King County Ferry District.“Currently, King County only has two passenger-only ferry routes, both of which serve District 8 residents,” said Drago. “I look forward to working with my constituents to maintain and enhance service while we look at possible long-term options for expanding service throughout the County.”

The Regional Water Quality Committee, which develops, reviews, and recommends countywide policies and plans for water quality and sewer service issues, long range capital facilities plans, rate policies and facilities siting to guide King County’s regional water quality responsibilities.
Drago was appointed on January 4 to represent District 8, which includes portions of Downtown Seattle, West Seattle, Vashon and Maury Islands, unincorporated areas of Highland Park, Burien, Normandy Park, and portions of Sea Tac and Tukwila.
