Council Chair Ferguson’s Statement on the Executive’s call for new contractor on Brightwater tunneling project
Story
Metropolitan King County Council Chair Bob Ferguson, whose district includes cities—Shoreline, Lake Forest Park and Kenmore— that are located along the path of the Brightwater tunnel, today released this statement in response to County Executive Dow Constantine’s proposal to change the contractor building a section of the tunnel system on the Brightwater Treatment Plant project:
“The Brightwater project is behind schedule and over budget. It’s time for decisive action to get construction moving again, and I support Executive Constantine’s proposal to bring on a different contractor to complete this important part of the project.”
