Cody Eccles manages Councilmember Dunn’s office, staff, and policy development. He has many years of experience in public policy, including in his most recent role as the Director of Government Relations and Business Affairs with the Council of Presidents. Previously, Cody worked at the Washington State Senate, where he advised legislators on issues relating to higher education, government operations, human services, and capital budgeting. Cody is an attorney who received his J.D. from Seattle University and an LL.M. in Tax Law from the University of Washington. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the University of Washington Milgard School of Business where he graduated with honors.

Tessa (Rath) Ester

Tessa is responsible for the Councilmember’s communications and media relations in addition to managing policy issues related to human trafficking, solid waste, waste water, public health, and human services, among others. She was inspired to work in public policy through her first job at a local non-profit, where she supported a variety of local programs and worked to encourage civic participation in the younger generation. She also served a stint as the Finance Director for a federal campaign. Tessa is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science with a concentration in International Affairs. She was born and raised in Washington State and spends most of her free time with her husband and her son, preferably in the great outdoors hiking, hunting, or fishing.

Jordan Kremen

Jordan is a graduate of the University of Washington (Go Huskies!) with a degree in political science. He staffs the following committees: Local Services and Land Use, Budget and Fiscal Management, Health and Human Services, and Board of Health. When Jordan is not in the office, he is an avid fan of many Seattle sports teams, having been a lifelong Seahawks and Mariners fan as well as fully embracing the Kraken since their creation.

Jack Ipsen

Jack is tasked with providing legislative support to the office. He works closely with constituents, community leaders, and other county staff to help provide support to District 9 constituents. In his previous role he worked extensively in politics and with candidates throughout King County. Prior to that he worked for many years in nonprofits throughout Washington and beyond. He continues that work to this day as a current sitting board member on a Seattle based nonprofit. Jack graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He also commissioned through UW Army ROTC receiving a U.S Army commission as a Field Artillery Officer in 2021. He currently serves as a platoon leader for A-Battery 103rd FAR, Rhode Island National Guard.
