Pete von Reichbauer’s Remarks on the Metro Bus Stabbing

King County Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer released the following statement concerning the murder of a Metro bus operator.

“If our bus drivers are not safe on Metro buses, then how can we convince our public that it is safe for them to ride?” said von Reichbauer, Chair of the King County Council’s Government Accountability and Oversight Committee.

“My prayers go out to the family of this driver and to all the drivers and their families who have faced assaults and threats in their service to our County.”
