Proposed Ordinance 2024-0202

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing before the Metropolitan King County Council will be held at the King County Courthouse, 516 3rd Avenue Room 1001, on the 17th day of September 2024, at 1:30 p.m. to consider the adoption of Proposed Ordinance 2024-0202, which would adopt the 2024 King County Flood Management Plan relating to river and floodplain management.

SUMMARY

Proposed Ordinance 2024-0202 would adopt the 2024 King County Flood Management Plan, an update to the 2013 King County Flood Hazard Management Plan, which guides how King County manages flood risks along rivers, creeks, and shorelines. The Flood Plan outlines King County’s floodplain land use and floodplain management activities as directed by the King County Comprehensive Plan and sets floodplain management policy for unincorporated King County.
