NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing before the Metropolitan King County Council will be held at the King County Courthouse, 516 3rd Avenue Room 1001, on the 14th day of July, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., to consider adoption of Proposed Ordinance 2026-0128, which will enable the county to sell parcel 3524039112 located at 8923 Fauntleroy Way SW, Seattle WA 98106 to the Washington State Department of Transportation for $1,825,000. Remote public testimony on Zoom will also be accepted. Written public testimony will be accepted from 9 a.m. on July 1, 2026, through 10 a.m. on July 14, 2026, by sending such public testimony to clerk.council@kingcounty.gov. Please include the legislation number and related agenda item in the subject line. SUMMARY
King County is proposing this ordinance to sell parcel 3524039112 located at 8923 Fauntleroy Way SW, Seattle WA 98106 located in County Council District Eight, to the Washington State Department of Transportation. The following is a legal description of the area:
Real Property in the County of King, State of Washington, described as follows:
Parcel of land with a frontage of 35 feet on Fauntleroy Avenue lying between two lines drawn parallel to the north line of Government Lot 2, Section 35, Township 24 North, Range 3 East of the Willamette Meridian, In King County, Washington, 465 and 500 feet, respectively, southerly from said north line of Government Lot 2 as measured along the west margin of Fauntleroy Avenue and extending from the west margin of Fauntleroy Avenue to the meander line;
Together with the tide lands of the second class abutting thereon above the line of mean low tide.
And
That portion of Block 489, Seattle Tide Lands, Extension No. 1, lying between the westerly extension of two lines which are parallel with the north line of Government Lot 2, Section 35, Township 24 North, Range 3 East, W.M., in King County, Washington, and respectively 465 feet and 500 feet southerly of said north line as measured along the westerly line of Fauntleroy Avenue, as established by Ordinance No. 33066.
