Judge Marcus Naylor
Judge Marcus Naylor joined the King County District Court in 2019 and has served on the bench at the Court’s Issaquah, Bellevue and Redmond courthouse locations.
Throughout his legal career, Judge Naylor has participated in more than 100 misdemeanor and felony jury trials ranging from DUI to homicide. Many of his trials were complex and on the leading edge of forensic sciences utilizing experts in fields ranging from DNA to neuropsychology. As a result, Judge Naylor has gained knowledge in all types of criminal cases and issues presented to the court.
Judge Naylor has received extensive training on coaching and mentoring, as well as in diversity, equity, and inclusion - all traits necessary for running a fair and just court. Presently, Judge Naylor serves on the Washington State District and Municipal Court Judges Association’s (DMCJA) Education and Diversity committees. Judge Naylor is committed to treating everyone with dignity, patience and respect.
