• 11/25/25 - Huge drug bust made at Kirkland Apartment complex - Month's long undercover effort leads to enough Meth, Fentanyl and cocaine to kill over 4 million people, over half of Washington State population with ties back to Mexico's Sinaloa cartel

• 9/18/25 - Lake Lillian rescue - Injured hiker and her dog rescued near Lake Lillian, which is just East of Snoqualmie pass.
• 9/12/25 - Like Mother Like Daughter - On this National Police Woman day, check out this dynamic Duo; the only one of it's kind in the King County Sheriff's Office. 
• 9/10/25 - Meet Mouse! King County Sheriff's Office electronic storage sniffing dog - Mouse's primary job is to sniff out hidden electronic storage devices to help solve cases involving child pornography among others.  He is dually trained as a service dog. 
• 9/4/25 - Friday, September 12 is National Police Women day! - Law enforcement agencies across the country are working hard to recruit more women as police officers, sheriff’s deputies, and state troopers.

July

• 7/25/25 - 5 People rescued near Flaming Geyser - Five people, including a 4-year-old child, were safely rescued by King County Search and Rescue after being stranded on the Green River
• 7/16/25 - KCSO Air support utilizes new tool to assign with firefighters - Watch the KCSO Air Support Unit deploy a Bambi Bucket as they assist Puget Sound Fire extinguish a brush fire
• 7/16/25 - Foul play - Kenmore deputies assist family of Canadian Geese cross a busy street
• 7/8/25 - Swimming Suspect - Guardian One helps track down suspect who jumped into Lake Washington
• 7/6/25 - Hike safely - KCSO Air Support makes another life-saving rescue during this busy hiking season.  KCSO Air Support rescues approximately 225 per year

April

• 4/19/25 - Snowmobiler rescued from Steven's Pass - King County Sheriff's Office rescue's injured snowmobiler from Steven's Pass. Taken to Harborview for treatment 
• 4/17/25 - Woman survives violent kidnapping - King County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit Makes Arrests in Major Case.  Woman kidnapped, robbed, shot several times, and left for dead off I-90  
• 4/2/25 - Learn more about the King County Sheriff's Office new Phlebotomy Program - In partnership with Shoreline Community College, 14 law enforcement officers are now trained as Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomists. If an impaired driving incident requires a blood draw, these specialists can respond immediately, helping to improve efficiency in the mission to keep dangerous drivers off the roads.
• 4/2/25 - King Co. Sheriff's Office deploys "StarChase" program aimed at avoiding vehicle pursuits - The technology has become popular among Washington police as an alternative to engaging in high-risk pursuits

March

• 3/31/25 - This is no Bull. King County Deputies Lasso Loose Livestock - Deputies were called out to help guide the cattle, a bull named Bracken and his pregnant lady friend Thistle, back to their home in Redmond
• 3/27/25 - King County Sheriff’s helicopter tracks reckless driver during multi-city chase - You can run, but you can’t hide from the Kent Police Department when there are eyes in the sky.  On March 25, an officer says they tried to stop an unlicensed BMW that was driving recklessly.  The driver tried to get away, but the King County Sheriff’s Office says its Guardian 1 helicopter was nearby and joined in the chase
• 3/26/25 - Burien Police/King County Sheriff’s Office arrests 2 in drug trafficking bust - The Burien Police Department/King County Sheriff’s Office Special Emphasis Team arrested two suspected drug traffickers in a narcotics investigation that culminated on March 19, 2025, authorities said
• 3/20/25 - King County rescue crews save driver trapped in a 60-foot embankment - The King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) shared body camera video of the emergency response with KIRO 7. It shows the actions of a deputy trying to get to the driver of a Jeep after the car slid down a 60-foot embankment
