Resource Access Team
The Resource Access Team is a multifunctional customer service team within the Department of Community and Human Services that will serve as a centralized information and resource referral system, making it easier for residents of King County to access the services they need.
The Resource Access Team aims to help residents connect to resources, navigate services, or bridge short-term financial gaps.

Financial Assistance
The Resource Access Team may provide financial assistance to King County residents to help them gain or retain employment, support educational goals leading to employment, or meet basic needs, including but not limited to food, healthcare, shelter, childcare, transportation and safety. Resource Access Financial Assistance is intended for emergent or one-time situations and not intended for recurrent or regular needs.
Eligibility requirements:
To be eligible, applicants for financial assistance must:
- Be 18 years or older (or an emancipated minor)
- Reside or shelter within one of King County’s 9 council districts
- Proof of identity
- Provide proof of King County residency
- Provide proof of need
- Provide proof of income/financial status
- Enroll in the Resource Access Team’s navigation services
- Develop a Financial Crisis Mitigation Plan
Additionally, no other financial assistance should be available or accessible to meet the customer’s need within a reasonable timeframe.
