Protect your pets this July 4th

More pets go missing around the 4th of July than any other time of the year. While many areas of King County prohibit consumer fireworks, chances are that you and your pets will still hear firecrackers and other noisemakers in your neighborhood. Regional Animal Services (RASKC) has some tips to help you and your pets.

Stay safe in the expected heat!

Our region is expecting some hot weather this weekend. This can be dangerous to everyone, especially those who do not have access to effective cooling systems or adequate hydration. The Office of Emergency Management has tips for cooling off and ways to stay safe during hot weather.
