Request records - Adult and Juvenile Detention
How to request public records
King County's records portal, GovQA, is our preferred method.
Note the following options, depending on the type of record you're seeking:
-
Inmate records
Select the "Incarceration Records" tile on King County's public records page.
-
All other records
Select the "Jail Operations Records" tile on King County's public records page.
Note: Washington State considers many records about people in custody confidential and exempt from disclosure. See RCW 70.40.100 for more details.
You may also submit a request via email, phone or postal mail
If you use one of these methods, a GovQA account will be created for you.
