Boundary change for city of Algona will allow for improved safety and bicycle access

Summary

Story

The Metropolitan King County Council today unanimously adopted legislation sponsored by Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer approving the transfer of approximately 210 feet of West Valley Highway right-of-way to the city of Algona.

This transfer will allow Algona to carry out a road improvement project which is largely funded by a Washington State Transportation Improvement grant.

“This boundary change is very important to the residents of Algona, and I want to thank Mayor Dave Hill for his work” said Councilmember von Reichbauer. “The city of Algona can now complete their construction project on time, which will improve safety and provide bicycle access.”
