Winning ‘King Critter’ Crowned by Reagan Dunn at the King County Fair
July 17, 2025
‘Oklahoma’, the Hampshire/Suffolk Cross Lamb owned by Scarlett Cockerham, was awarded the locally prestigious title of ‘King Critter’ by King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn at the King County Fair this year. Standing alongside Enumclaw Mayor Jan Molinaro, Dunn also announced two honorable mentions — Rue the Nigerian Dwarf Goat owned by Sydney Ball, and ‘Honey Bun,’ a Sicilian Buttercup Chicken owned by Vivian Cockerham.
“There’s nothing quite like the King County Fair — it brings out the very best of our agricultural heritage and community spirit,” said Councilmember Reagan Dunn. “Congratulations to this year’s top critter, ‘Oklahoma,’ and her proud owner, Scarlett Cockerham. I encourage everyone to come out to the Fair this year through Sunday, July 20.”
The Critter Crowning marks opening day of the King County Fair, which runs from July 17-20 this year. The Fair hours are 10 AM–10 PM on Thursday, July 17–Saturday, July 19, and 10 AM–6 PM on Sunday July 20—the Fair’s final day.
“The 2025 King County Fair promises another exciting weekend of fun, learning, and celebration,” said Enumclaw Mayor Jan Molinaro. “From thrilling rides and hands-on kids’ activities to the impressive 4-H showcases, there’s something for everyone. A big thank-you goes to Councilmember Dunn for his ongoing support of the Enumclaw Expo Center. Don’t miss out — we’ll be here through Sunday, July 20th!”
