Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome

A group of bicyclists racing around a track with people watching from bleachers

Marymoor Park is home to the state’s only velodrome, a 400-meter track dedicated to bicycle racing. Operated by the Marymoor Velodrome Association, this top-notch facility hosts programs for riders of all levels, including youth classes, the popular Friday Night Racing series, and even national racing championships.

In October 2015, King County renamed the velodrome the Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome to honor the long-time cycling advocate who was instrumental in designing and building the velodrome in 1975. Read more about his remarkable life at Cascade Bicycle Club and Seattle Times.
