Council issues statement on passing of Senator Bill Ramos

The King County Council on Sunday issued the following statement regarding the passing of State Senator Bill Ramos. Senator Ramos, the husband of Councilmember Sarah Perry, passed away Saturday:

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend Senator Bill Ramos. Bill was a true public servant whose passion for his community never wavered. His leadership, kindness, and integrity will be profoundly missed. He was not only a hardworking and effective legislator, but a personal friend to many of us at King County and the beloved husband of our colleague, Councilmember Sarah Perry.  Bill will be remembered as a dedicated family member with the heart of an adventurer and a love of the environment. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who were touched by his remarkable life.”
