About our internships
King County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) offers internship opportunities. These opportunities are designed for:
- College students who are interested in pursuing a career in the criminal justice field
- Individuals who want to expand their skill set to build a stronger resume as they enter the workforce
Internship positions mostly take place in an office setting. However, there are many opportunities to explore other aspects of KCSO, including ride alongs, training exercises, and job shadowing.
All internships are intended to meet eligibility requirements for college credit. You must be enrolled in college to be eligible. Make sure to check with your academic advisor to verify.
Multiple positions are available in various units, with flexible scheduling. Please note that evenings and weekends are typically not available. Interns may extend their internship up to one year. Internships with KCSO are unpaid and ineligible for benefits.
