Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan
The King County Road Services Division (Roads) completed an Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan in April 2021. This plan will guide our efforts to make sidewalks, curb ramps and street crossings on unincorporated King County roads more accessible to all.
The plan was developed using input from community members, an assessment of existing pedestrian facilities, and analyses of county policies, practices, and finances. The plan describes how pedestrian facilities were evaluated and prioritized, how much it will cost to improve each type of facility, and a timeline for improvements. The plan addresses all pedestrian facilities maintained by Roads, and does not include roads located inside city limits, highways, or trails.
