There have been reports of scammers posing as staff members at King County and other government agencies and asking for payments. KING COUNTY STAFF MEMBERS WILL NOT CALL YOU ASKING FOR YOUR CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD INFORMATION. Please don’t give your financial information to anyone over the phone or put your credit card information in an email. King County provides customers with invoices and instructions on how to pay online or by check. If you think you have been a victim of fraud, file a police report and report the fraud to your credit card issuer. If you have questions, call or email King County Permitting at 206‑296‑6600 or PermitQuestions@kingcounty.gov.
